Born in Ishikawa, Japan, Sayaka’s curiosity took her to the United States, Canada and Berlin. The people she met, the landscapes she explored and antique markets filled with history became part of her creative language.
Back in Japan, a small select shop in Tokyo became the beginning of something new. Meeting her mentor opened the door to making jewelry herself.
Today she lives in Higashi-Izu, Shizuoka, between the sea and the mountains. Here, closer to nature, she makes at her own pace.
